Construction & Rail Training Centre Manager/Tester

Essential requirements:

  • Experienced training/tester, with a proven managerial background in the training sector
  • Proven experience working within the CITB or PTS schemes (Manager/Supervisor/Trainer/Tester)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working in the wider construction/rail operations industry
  • Recognised instructional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH)

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of the centre including procedures and scheme spec support
  • Plan and manage all training activities, both for customers and staff
  • Plant and course planning and forecasting
  • Manage staff, including taking the lead on appointing suitably qualified freelance trainers/testers
  • Ensure the centre is compliant at all times and in line with all/any Awarding Body requirements
  • Support and supervise coordinators to ensure the correct and timely submissions of centre paperwork and certification processes
  • Track, manage, inspect and order (where required) the correct plant or equipment
  • Develop Course offerings and centre capability
  • Support and lead on internal and 3rdparty centre audits
  • Work with key stakeholders and feedback relevant and timely information in relation to operations as required
  • Be willing to become a Drugs and Alcohol Collections Officer
